Learning

Am Shalom Congregation is committed to lifelong Jewish learning.  This starts with our Jewish Heritage School, age 4 through Bar/Bat Mitzvah, and continues with many opportunities for our adult members and community to broaden their knowledge of Reform Judaism through our library, lectures, Torah study and mini courses.

Throughout the year we offer many opportunities for adults to engage in learning. From our Torah studies and mini topic sessions to evening seminars to our occasional book club — we have something for all levels of learners. Our library contains many wonderful volumes on various Jewish topics and all members are able to check out the books for as long as they like.

One of the fundamental ways our children learn is from observing what their parents, grandparents and other role models do. Participation in adult Jewish learning sends an on-going, important message to younger generations that continued growth and development of our Jewish knowledge is a priority. Be a part of that message. Your participation and attendance in adult Jewish programs and events is sincerely encouraged. Together we will engage in learning and fulfill our commitment to the advancement of our Jewish-selves. You never know what you might learn! Lifelong Jewish Learning is alive and well at Am Shalom.
