Sofer Visit

Funds were raised to restore our Torah scroll at Rabbi Audrey’s ordination in the fall of 2019 but due to Covid this has been on hold for the past 2 years. Thankfully we are now able to bring in the Sofer to do the work.

Please join us anytime on Monday April 25 from 10:30am to 6:30pm and on Tuesday April 26 from 9:00am to 3:00pm to watch Sofer Neil Yerman work on our Torah scroll. Congregants, including children, are encouraged to watch and to participate in the repairs as well. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and will ensure all members of our community have a personal connection to our Torah.

Please also try to join us on the evening of Monday April 25th from 5:30-6:30pm to hear Artist and Sofer Neil Yerman talk about his love of the written word and his work writing and restoring Torah scrolls and what he has learned about our Torah scroll while working on it.  This is a free talk and everyone is welcome.
